Large and asymmetrical, these rooms are specially designed to give family and staff privacy and freedom of movement. Antepartal extended-stay patients have access to a center complete with kitchenette, washer, dryer, and education area.
Most of the 84 rooms offer a view of Woman’s lake and
include four nurseries to keep infants close to mom
and encourage in-room family bonding. Mother and
baby care is provided by the same nurse, and lactation
specialists are available 7am - 5pm, all Mother/Baby staff
can assist with breastfeeding.
Our Newborn and Infant Intensive Care Unit includes the neonatal intensive care unit, the special care nursery and the transition nursery. Special features include private rooms with rockers, overnight rooms for parents to stay, rooms for multiple infants from the same family, a Family Resource space, bonding rooms for adoptions, and a simulation lab. Water elements were incorporated in to the design to envoke calm feelings and promote a healing environment.
Larger and designed for more privacy and freedom of movement, most rooms have a view of nature overlooking the Woman’s lake and more natural light than before. Rooms have also been made significantly quieter through carefully selected designs and materials.
Woman’s Assessment Center is the first point of entrance for patients in need of immediate care. Women experiencing labor pains or other urgent conditions requiring assistance are triaged in the Assessment Center.
Located in a quieter area of the hospital, the Infusion Center provides chemotherapy, osteoporosis treatment and more. The new space features increased privacy, individual TVs and personal storage space. Private rooms are also available.
Surgery is centrally located for easy accessibility and allows patients to be admitted within the surgery waiting area to reduce travel within the hospital. Our family waiting area overlooks the campus and our staff will provide you with beepers or take your cell phone number to relay any updates. Front door temporary parking spaces have been designed to allow for easy drop off and pickup of surgery patients.
Woman’s comprehensive imaging center features screening and diagnostic digital mammography, MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and nuclear medicine. All imaging services have been centralized within the hospital and share a spacious waiting area bathed in natural sunlight. Through this new streamlined approach, all patients will receive a personal escort to their treatment areas.
Most public and patient walkways are separate from staff and supplies, improving efficiency and patient privacy, and reducing security risks.
Woman’s new hospital features generous meeting space for patient education classes and seminars. All rooms are AV equipped, feature conference tables and chairs that can be arranged in any configuration, and food services are available upon request. Additionally, the Woman’s Conference Center has an open meeting space located directly outside of the conference rooms to allow for crowd interaction and to reduce overcrowding in the hospital’s main walkway.
Our Physician Office Building will include two
towers, four and five stories each for medical office space.
The V-shaped building has a centralized main entrance with convenient, ample parking and a connection to the hospital. In addition, a gift shop and a restaurant are conveniently located on the first floor.
